HDPE Wear Strips
Wear strips are typically made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE strips) or ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE strips). HDPE strips have a low friction surface and high resistance to chemicals that may be used in the manufacturing process. In certain applications, HDPE strips are preferred because they will not break down after a great deal of wear and tear on mechanical components, many of which get very hot during the manufacturing process.
They guide and support, designed to eliminate excessive belt movement. Often, the use of HDPE strips can also reduce vibration. These smooth HDPE strips are attached to guardrails and are used to guide products through belt systems. We cut HDPE sheets to the appropriate size and specifications. Standard sized HDPE sheets can be used to manufacture wear strips for handling materials and guiding them through conveyor technology.
