HDPE is the abbreviation for High Density Polyethylene. It is a non-polar thermoplastic with high crystallinity and perfect electrical properties, especially high dielectric strength for insulation. The polymer does not absorb moisture and can be used to package items with good waterproofing against vapors.HDPE has good impact resistance at room temperature and even at -40 degrees Celsius. The surface does not wrinkle and is weather resistant. Because of its durability and long service life, it can be used as a flexible hinge that won't break.
